Isabella Reyes managed a portfolio of 22 vacation-rental units on the Florida Keys for a family investment group for three years. Most Sunday evenings she spent manually updating nightly rates across Airbnb and Vrbo. Then she did the math: 18 months of pricing a peak Easter weekend below market because a new resort had opened 4 miles away and she simply did not know. The comparables she was using were stale. The competitor data she needed was sitting in plain sight on Airbnb search results — she just had no systematic way to read it.
The compliance piece was just as frustrating. Permit renewals and occupancy-tax rate changes arrived as certified mail rather than tracked proactively. A fine here, a scramble there. Isabella and co-founder Marco Vidal — then a senior engineer at Guesty — built a Google Sheets scraper that pulled competitor rates and overlaid local event data from Eventbrite. They ran it on the 22 Keys listings and saw a 19% revenue increase in the first 90 days. But the scraper broke weekly, and maintaining the sheet consumed more time than the old manual process. So they built the real thing instead.
Strpricely is now a purpose-built SaaS product focused on the independent STR operator segment — dynamic pricing, competitor benchmarking, and compliance monitoring in a single connected product, with direct API integrations into Airbnb, Vrbo, and the four major property management systems that independent operators use.
